Snow Software to Expand Partner Benefits

Snow Software, a provider of IT asset management (ITAM) tools, has announced it will make available deal registration incentives and rebates as well as add a profit protection plan for partners participating in co-marketing deals at the beginning of 2021.

The company will also increase the amount of co-marketing and market development funds (MDF), expand training certifications, and launch a self-service portal for partners.

Snow Software currently has about 250 active partners, most of which are offering some type of managed service, says Brian Allison, vice president of global channels and alliances at Snow Software. In addition, partners have the option to resell the company’s offerings or simply participate in a referral program, adds Allison.

Interest among partners in ITAM is rising because many of their customers are struggling with a host of IT management issues now that the bulk of their employees are working from home. That creates a much broader opportunity for partners to generate a lot of services revenue, notes Allison.

“Partners generate three to four services dollars for every dollar of Snow revenue,” says Allison.

Among the hottest categories in company’s portfolio are tools to manage cloud spending, notes Allison. In the wake of the economic downturn brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, the number of IT organizations looking to rein in cloud costs has dramatically increased, says Allison.

Competition among providers of ITAM platforms is, of course, fierce. Privately held, Snow Software claims to have just past the $100 million mark in annual revenue.

More organizations are simultaneously reviewing their approaches to IT management at any time in the history of IT right now as they adjust to the new normal brought on by the pandemic. Employees may return to the office one day soon, but it’s also clear most will be working from home a lot more often. The opportunities for partners to expend the scope of the services they provide as a consequence has never been greater.
