Channel Futures is quoting a study from 451 research that says:
IT executives are more fired up than ever about using public cloud and data initiatives to differentiate their businesses, according to a recent 451 Research survey.
Microsoft is all about the channel when it comes to the cloud. This week Microsoft revealed it has increased to a total number of partners participating in its channel program by 33%.

And because you can never have too many email clients, TechCrunch is reporting that Front is raising a $66 million Series B round led by Sequoia with DFJ and existing investors also participating. There are now 2,500 companies using Front to manage shared inboxes and collaborate. The startup now wants to go one step further and become the definitive email product.

Cisco is expanding its hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) appliance ambitions by adding support for Microsoft Hyper-V and Kubernetes, in addition to acquiring Skyport Systems.

Meg Whitman has a new job, and she’s not in the Tech Channel Anymore
USA Today is reporting that She will join NewTV, the working name of Jeffrey Katzenberg’s latest venture, on March 1. NewTV, based in Los Angeles, is focused on producing Hollywood-quality mobile video content of 10 minutes or less.
Quoting Meg:
