Copper Adds Ambassador Program for CRM Service

Copper, a provider of a customer resource management (CRM) application that is designed to drop into the G-Suite cloud application service from Google, has launched a 2020 Partner Ambassador Program.

Led by Olga Lykova, recently named global vice president of partnerships, the 2020 Partner Ambassador program will arm partners with additional tools provided by Copper that will enable then to establish expertise in a specific use case for the company’s namesake CRM software.

Unlike traditional CRM applications, Lykova says Copper applications on enabling customers to build relationships and manage projects than keeping track of sales transactions. At present, Copper has approximately 70 global partners. Going into 2020, Copper is looking to partner to expand its base of customers at a time when many more organizations are considering G-Suite as an alternative to Windows applications.

Microsoft this week just ended support for Windows 7 in the expectation that organizations will upgrade to Windows 10 to run Microsoft Office 365 applications. However, the decision to end support for Windows 7 is also just as likely to drive organizations to consider other alternatives as well.

Do you have the resources you need to run and manage your channel partners?

If not look no further than Gorilla Onboard.  For over 25 years they have been providing the services and talent the drives the channel. Partner recruitment services, Channel Account Managers, and Partner Marketing Management are just a few of the services they provide.

Copper, meanwhile, affords channel partners an opportunity to increase margins by delivering a set of complementary G-Suite applications. There is already a base of 5 million G-Suite users that continues to expand, notes Lykova.

The Copper channel program consists of four tiers that reward partners for everything for one-time referrals to providing up to 30% margins for the life of the customer.

In general, G-Suite tends to appeal most to small-to-medium businesses (SMBs) and startups. Many of those SMBs, however, are still running Windows 7. Given the fact that G-Suite subscriptions cost substantially less than Microsoft Office 365, chances are good that partners touting an alternative approach to embracing cloud applications are going to receive more than a fair hearing.
