Liongard Raises $4.5M to Fuel Adoption of IT Documentaton

Liongard has raised $4.5 million of additional funding to drive further adoption of its platform for documenting IT processes among managed service providers (MSPs).

MSPs to better ensure profitability have been investing more in IT automation. IT documentation platforms such as Roar from Liongard are a foundational element of those efforts that enable MSPs to document everything from the endpoints deployed to the cloud services being invoked.

Those efforts, in turn, benefit MSPs by improving time to resolution whenever there an issue arise in addition to helping smooth the onboarding of new clients, says Liongard COO Vincent Tran. Reducing the cost of labor per client enables MSPs to maximize the number of clients they can support, which in turn serves to make MSPs more profitable, says Tran.

Adoption of IT documentation platforms has been rapidly, but Tran notes that there are roughly 40,000 MSPs in the U.S. Roughly 60 percent of those MSPs have implemented IT automation to some degree, but Tran says there’s still plenty of room for additional growth opportunities for Liongard’s IT documentation platform.

Do you have the resources you need to run and manage your channel partners?

If not look no further than Gorilla Onboard.  For over 25 years they have been providing the services and talent the drives the channel. Partner recruitment services, Channel Account Managers, and Partner Marketing Management are just a few of the services they provide.

“It’s been a wild ride,” says Tran.

Much of that growth is being driven by a decision Liongard made earlier on to support JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) file format, which Tran says makes the data that Liongard generates about an IT environment consumable by other IT management tools, including remote monitoring and management (RMM) platforms.

MSPs don’t necessarily have to adopt an IT documentation platform to survive. Those MSPs that do, however, are more likely to thrive. Demand for managed services has never been greater. At the same time, competition remains fierce. As pressure on pricing inevitably rises. MSPs need to rely more on IT automation to reduce their costs in a way that allows them to maintain profit margins. More often than not, whatever IT automation path an MSPs embarks on the first step of that journey will start with adopting an IT documentation platform.
