SaaS Alerts Launches Management Platform for MSPs

SaaS Alerts has launched a namesake platform through which managed service providers (MSPs) can unify the management of multiple software-as-a-service (SaaS) applications.

As organizations dramatically expand their reliance on cloud applications in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, demand for SaaS application expertise is rising. Customers of all sizes are now looking for help to manage these applications, says Keith Engelbert, managing partner for SaaS Alerts.

MSPs need access to a platform through which they can centrally manage SaaS applications, including Microsoft Office 365, G Suite, Salesforce, Dropbox, to tap into that opportunity, adds Engelbert.

“Otherwise, MSPs have to log into a variety of consoles,” says Engelbert.

An MSP Resilient Response (MRR) program launched by SaaS Alerts will provide MSPs with free unlimited use of the SaaS Alerts platform through October 1st. Price points for the service after October will be 50 cents per user per month, which Engelbert notes will leave MSPs plenty of room to deliver a profitable service.

Support for other SaaS applications such as Box and Slack are planned, with other SaaS applications being added over time and based on demand and the degree to which they have open application programming interfaces (APIs), says Engelbert.

It’s now only a matter of time before more end customers start to construct more complex workflows spanning multiple SaaS applications. As those use cases evolve the more organizations are going to need external expertise to not only manage the underlying SaaS applications, but also the application development environments employed to construct those workflows.

There are, of course, multiple ways of managing multiple SaaS applications. Most of those were built for higher-end enterprise IT organizations rather than MSPs, notes Engelbert.

Regardless of how MSPs attain this capability, it’s already clear that most MSPs will not be able to remain relevant to their end customers without it.
