Lastline Recruits SYNNEX to Expand Channel Reach

Lastline, a provider of networking security tools that leverages artificial intelligence (AI) to identify and block cybersecurity threats, has signed SYNNEX to be its distributor in North America.

As part of an effort to expand its market reach via indirect channels Lastline is now looking to recruit value-added resellers (VARs), systems integrators and managed service providers, says Lastline CEO John DiLullo.

John DiLullo

DiLullo has been CEO of Lastline for a little over six months. Before that, DiLullo was executive vice president for worldwide sales and customer operations at F5 Networks. DiLullo has also held a variety of channel positions at Cisco, Avaya, SonicWall, and Aruba Networks. During his tenure at Cisco, Dilullo says he developed an appreciation of the depth of expertise of the channel partners that SYNNEX has recruited.

Lastline is applying network analytics infused with AI to prevent zero-day threats from compromising network security by identifying malicious anomalies. In contrast, other approaches identify all anomalies, resulting in a flood of alerts that make it too difficult to identify actual zero-day threats from all the noise being generated by the IT environment, says DiLullo.

Do you have the resources you need to run and manage your channel partners?

If not look no further than Gorilla Onboard.  For over 25 years they have been providing the services and talent the drives the channel. Partner recruitment services, Channel Account Managers, and Partner Marketing Management are just a few of the services they provide.

The market opportunity for this approach to cybersecurity is considerable because it’s readily apparent that existing approaches to cybersecurity are not effective, notes DiLullo. “The number of successful attacks is a signal that the market has not figured this out yet,” says DiLullo.

To increase the size of that market opportunity for partners Lastline is now also extending the reach of its platform into the realm of the public cloud, starting with Amazon Web Services (AWS).

DiLullo says Lastline doesn’t anticipate its platform will replace the need for other cybersecurity offerings. But it’s clear that that size and scope of the cybersecurity threats organizations face today is beyond the capabilities of mere humans to combat on their own. The challenge and opportunity for channel partners is to develop the skills needed to bring these next-generation cybersecurity technologies based on AI to market.
